Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy describes the general treatment of cancellations, project pauses, and refund requests for Brandmeadow Works consulting engagements. Project-specific documents may contain different or more detailed terms, and those project-specific terms control where applicable.
1. Project Reservations
Consulting projects require allocation of professional time and may involve advance planning before visible deliverables are produced. Deposits or initial payments may therefore reserve project capacity as well as cover discovery, research, preparation, or early strategic work.
2. Client Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation before substantive work begins, refund eligibility will depend on the applicable project agreement, whether project capacity was reserved, and whether any preparation or non-recoverable costs have already been incurred. Any approved refund may be reduced by fees or costs already earned or incurred where permitted by law and the governing agreement.
3. Cancellation After Work Begins
Once discovery, research, workshops, analysis, concept development, documentation, or other project work has started, fees attributable to completed work and committed project capacity are generally not refundable. If a project is billed in milestones, unpaid amounts for work already completed may remain due.
4. Digital and Strategic Deliverables
Because consulting work involves professional time, analysis, intellectual effort, and custom documentation, dissatisfaction with a strategic recommendation does not automatically create a right to a refund after the relevant work has been performed. We will, however, address reasonable questions or in-scope revisions according to the project agreement.
5. Project Pauses
If the client requests a pause, we will attempt to accommodate it when practical. Resuming later may depend on availability and may require a revised schedule. Long pauses can require a restart or re-scoping if business circumstances, inputs, or objectives have materially changed.
6. Cancellation by Brandmeadow Works
We may end or pause an engagement for material non-payment, unlawful requests, abusive conduct, serious failure to provide necessary information, or another material breach of the project terms. Financial treatment will be determined based on work completed, amounts paid, outstanding obligations, and applicable law.
7. Refund Processing
Any approved refund will generally be returned through the original or otherwise mutually agreed payment method where reasonably available. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution and are not fully within our control.
8. How to Request Cancellation
A cancellation request should identify the client, project, and requested effective date. We may ask for written confirmation to avoid misunderstandings and to provide a clear project record.
